Slumber by Samantha Young – Rogan & Wolfe

I love your books, Samantha Young!

After I read all of On Dublin Street published books thus far, Samantha has published the first part of The Chronicles of the Fade called Slumber in the wonderous world of Phaedra.

What happens when an azyl (seeker) meets a glava (psychic) she hates with all her might but has to join forces with him to save the Pricezna (princess) to prevent their magical world from fading into a shadow of itself?

What happens when they are falling for each other in spite of their bloody history inherited from their parents?

I for one am a sucker for any love story and I love it when 2 people face their problems and solve them especially when you mix it up with a quest story in which the main character has to mature and find the courage within herself to face her past ghosts. I know it may be a silly girly story to you, but I did not turn my back on happily ever after… yet.

I cannot wait for part II. I wonder who will it be about… Haydyn & Matai (now that will be a political mass…)? L & Kir (I wish! Sam… PLEASE!)? Valena & …?

Here is the official synopsis from the author website:

Slumber

Molded by a tragic childhood, nineteen-year-old Rogan finds it extremely difficult to trust people. Now Haydyn, her best friend and the one person she does trust, is dying and only Rogan can save her.

Setting off on a journey to retrieve the plant that will cure Haydyn and subsequently the ills that will befall them all if she dies, Rogan is stuck in close quarters with a protector she distrusts above all others.

Wolfe Stovia.

The son of the man who destroyed Rogan’s family.

At a constant battle of wills with the handsome Captain of the Guard, Rogan just knows this adventure together will be fraught with tension. She never imagined, however, that the quest would be so dangerous… not least of all when she finds herself falling for a man she could have sworn was her no.1 enemy…
