The first 3 books of Her Russian Protector (Ivan, Dimitri and Yuri) kinda built up the tension and I wound up really excited when I finally got to Nikolai and Vivian’s story.
The first 3 books were totally and irrevocably let on what will happen between those two. Only Roxie Rivera, the writer, knew when and how that was bound to happen.
Vivian, a young inspiring artist , is the daughter of a spanish mob boss that was just about to be released from prison in Yuri, was connected (or shall I say entangled) by faith with Nikolai, the Russian fearsome mob boss and the unquestionable boss of Houston underworld.
Their story is so complicated even for pretty smart me, but you just can’t keep your hands off this book (or in my case my mobile because I read in an e-reader).
I love it when Nikolai tries to fight his love for Vivian because he knows that she is his sun in his dark world full of blood and violence.
Vivian is strong enough is withstand all in order to get the love her life by her side even if she has to come to terms with the fact that the underworld is her domain from infancy to adulthood.
So, take a deep breath, because once you dive to Houston underworld in the 4th book of Her Russian Protector series you gonna have to hold it for a long while!
